Beginning in 2001, Ardent partnered with struggling, competing hospitals to form a unified health care system.
Lovelace Health System consists of:
- 4 hospitals: Lovelace Medical Center, Lovelace Westside Hospital, Lovelace Women’s Hospital and Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital
- 11 retail pharmacies
- Lovelace Health Plan: 222,000 members
- 3,643 employees
- 509 licensed beds
- 201,000 patients treated per year
- Nearly 80,000 ER visits per year
- $243 million in capital improvements since 2001

Tulsa, Oklahoma
In 2004, Ardent acquired the Hillcrest Health care System.
The system today consists of:
- 4 hospitals: Hillcrest Medical Center and Oklahoma Heart Institute, Bailey Medical Center, Cushing Regional Hospital and Henryetta Medical Center.
- 3,901 employees
- 168 employed physicians
- 900 licensed beds
- Nearly 200,000 patients treated per year
- More than 165,000 ER visits per year
Over the last five years, we have:
- Joint ventured with physicians to build a de novo hospital in the fastest growing community in Oklahoma.
- Partnered with nationally recognized cardiologists to build a world class heart hospital.
- Expanded our flagship Tulsa hospital to provide orthopedic and spine surgery center.
- Joined with rural community to expand local hospital.
- Invested more than $231 million in capital improvements, more than double our original commitment.
